New York Prints

New York gives a wall energy without trying. The pieces here are made in the Hangkind studio around the city's light: a skyline from across the river at dusk, a brownstone stoop in autumn, a subway platform, a diner sign at two in the morning.

They are living room, office and apartment pieces, and black frames at 24×36 are the classic treatment. The night scenes work on canvas too, where the deep blacks sit well without glazing.
