Botanical Prints

Botanical art is the study of a plant rather than the celebration of a flower: a fern frond, a stem of eucalyptus, beach grass against sand, a leaf drawn in one line. The pieces here are made in the Hangkind studio with that observational calm, mostly on pale grounds, in ink, watercolor and photographic styles.

They are the easiest art to hang in multiples because the grounds match. A row of three 12×18 botanicals in oak frames along a hallway, or a pair of 16×24s in a bathroom, is a safe, elegant choice.
